Environment
Environment plays a very significant role in the development of a country. It is one of the most valuable assets of an individual. A clean environment is the sign of civilization. Green and lustrous environment, the dream of everyone. To be living in a country like Nepal was the life everyone around the world would dream of, with its pretty mountains, blue and fulfilling rivers, and fresh greenery but is it still pretty?
When Kalu Kumale spoke about Lalitpur, the area he grew up in and is still living, he speaks of it like a dream, long gone and never to come back. It can be related to every area of the country. He talks about the green environment he grew up, fresh and clear rivers, where drinking the water directly from it was not something to think twice and clean environment. But now everywhere he looks, he sees pollution. When he passes the places now, he is surprised to see them all covered with houses and buildings, hiding the true essence of all the places he passes by. He doesn’t have an idea about climate changes or global warmings, all he knows is the places he grew up in, he lived all his eternity in, is different, is dirty and he wants to do something to make it beautiful, to return it into its previous form, he wants to pay back to the nature he believes in, the environment he loved being in, the places that meant heaven and is slowly turning into something else, a hell maybe? He knows that claiming the Environment in its previous, original form would be an impossible task but some of it can be rendered, protected and kept safe.
Thus, Krodhkala Sriromani Foundation starts the Environmental projects to ensure that some of the essence of the nature is returned to its original form. It works on safeguarding the natural and pure form of the nature we were a part of growing up.
